Assistant Professor, Principal Investigator
Gita Pathak, PhD
Dr. Pathak is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Genomic Health and the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She has received the K99/R00 from National Institute for Aging, Alzheimer's Association Research Fellowship, Yale Women's Faculty Forum and the Yale ADRC Scholar Award, which have supported the establishment of the GAPsLab.
Outside of work, she doodles on her iPad, paints her husband's Warhammer models, plays board games, and hikes on cool mornings.

Bioinformatician
Sanjeev Sariya
Sanjeev (He/Him/His) conducts bioinformatics research employing genetics (DNA) data to identify genomic markers conferring risk and underlying mechanisms of neuropsychiatry and neurodegenerative diseases. Sanjeev has prior experience in various areas on different data types: GWAS analysis in admixed population, 16S rRNA microbiome and MLST analysis in E. coli, K. pneumoniae. Sanjeev did his MS and B.Tech from the US and India respectively.
In his free time Sanjeev enjoys reading, practicing Iyengar yoga and walking with his dog.

Data Scientist
Ambra Sartori, PhD
Ambra is a statistical geneticist who develops computational tools to analyze large-scale genomic and biomedical data. Her work brings together methods from GWAS, polygenic risk scoring, and machine learning to better understand the genetic basis of complex traits. She earned her PhD in Genomics and Digital Health from the University of Geneva and completed her postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University.
Outside of research, she enjoys cooking and spoiling her one-eyed cat.
